Sweet-N-Saucy Chicken & Sausage

Time to get sweet-n-saucy in the kitchen with this chicken sausage recipe. Bring this savory chicken to your next dinner party with your favorite Barefoot wine. We'd recommend Moscato!


Servings: 6+


  • In 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, in hot oil, cook chicken until well browned on all sides. With slotted spoon, remove chicken to plate. In drippings remaining in skillet, cook sausages until well browned on all sides. Add 3/4 cup water
  • Over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20 minutes or until chicken and sausages are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • In small cup, combine cornstarch and remaining 1/4 cup water until smooth. Gradually stir into hot liquid.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens slightly and boils.


  1. 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  2. 4 boneless, skinless chicken
  3. 1 pound sweet Italian sausage links
  4. 1 cup water, divided
  5. 1/2 cup Barefoot Moscato
  6. 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  7. 1 large garlic clove, crushed
  8. 1/2 tsp salt
  9. 1 tbsp cornstarch
